 ma by candlelight\, watching the poem come to life. "The Night Before Chri
 stmas" describes a Christmas Eve night when a father wakes up after hearin
 g noises outside. He sees eight reindeer pulling Santa Claus in a sleigh\,
  which lands on the roof of the home. Santa slides down the chimney\, leav
 es gifts in the stockings\, then calls out "Happy Christmas to all\, and t
 o all a good night" as he flies away.
