Born Kimberly Denise Jones in Brooklyn, New York, Lil' Kim overcame a difficult childhood, but her life changed when she met The Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace). As her mentor, he helped launch her career as a member of Junior M.A.F.I.A. before she emerged as a solo artist with her groundbreaking 1996 debut album, “Hard Core.” The record established her as one of rap's most distinctive voices and produced several hit singles. Following the death of The Notorious B.I.G. in 1997, Lil' Kim continued her success with releases including “La Bella Mafia” and “The Naked Truth.” In addition to her music career, Lil' Kim has appeared in film, television and reality programming while continuing to perform for fans around the world. Through personal challenges and professional milestones alike, she has remained an influential force in hip-hop, recognized for breaking barriers and helping pave the way for future generations of female artists.
