A Rhinestone Christmas: Checotah Christmas Parade

Ice Rink: 2-10pmThis year is themed "A Rhinestone Christmas," and should particularly appeal to Elvis Presley and Dolly Parton fans and those who one to see one of the state's largest Christmas parades. The Checotah Chamber of Commerce Lighted Christmas Parade Competition brings businesses, organizations, families and community groups together to compete with elaborate lighted floats and displays. This year's Dolly-and-Elvis-inspired theme will bring rhinestones, country flair, rock ‘n' roll and plenty of Christmas lights to downtown Checotah. Come early and enjoy ice skating from on a mobile synthetic ice rink. After the parade, gather near Checotah's community Christmas tree for the Chamber's annual Christmas giveaways, featuring prizes donated by Chamber members, local businesses and community supporters. Families can also stop by for free photos with Santa after the parade. While you're in town, explore local shops and restaurants, then take in the Christmas lights throughout town.
