Tonkawa Tribal Powwow

Come out and experience the Tonkawa Tribal Powwow, an annual tribal celebration featuring Native American dancing, princess crownings, contests, crafts, artwork and food. Dance styles will include straight, war, gourd, fancy, traditional, cloth and buckskin categories. Stick around for a Traditional Tonkawa Scalp dance during the Saturday afternoon program and a Chief Joseph Memorial Contest on Sunday. This year's event will also include the Charles Warrior Horseshoe tournament, Rez car pile-in, fireworks, Veteran's Supper for Encampment on Saturday, Disc Golf Tournament, and a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. Free primitive camping, parking and showers will be available.
