Get into the holiday spirit as Hunter's Home hosts a live performance of the 1823 poem "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement Moore. Guests will tour the only remaining pre-Civil War plantation home in Oklahoma by candlelight, watching the poem come to life. "The Night Before Christmas" describes a Christmas Eve night when a father wakes up after hearing noises outside. He sees eight reindeer pulling Santa Claus in a sleigh, which lands on the roof of the home. Santa slides down the chimney, leaves gifts in the stockings, then calls out "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night" as he flies away.
